Beschreibung
People who experience themselves as being permanently separated from their surroundings or themselves - who have the feeling that they are not really there and perceive everything as being unreal - are usually suffering from a depersonalization-derealization disturbance. Those affected often encounter a lack of understanding of their condition and do not receive adequate treatment. This self-help book provides comprehensive information on this clinical picture, along with options for treatment and self-help. Even after decades, it is still possible to overcome alienation. In comparison with the previous edition, the self-help section in particular has been revised and a chapter has been included that is directly aimed at psychotherapists, describing the typical treatment difficulties and options for overcoming them. Self-help materials are available free of charge, including two audio files with introductions to mindfulness meditation, a treatment log book, and information about the topic of psychotherapy. von Michal, Matthias
