Beschreibung
Peyman Rahimi's (b. 1977 in Teheran, lives in Frankfurt am Main) expansive installations engage with dissonant and ambiguous, atmospheric situations and refer directly to the place of their presentation. The artist continually shifts the contextual framework of his individual works (screen prints, sculptures, etc.), regardless of the period in which they were created. The readability of his cross-cultural motifs is thus applied in a varied manner and testifies to a diverse spectrum of perception. Published in conjunction with Rahimi's exhibition at two venues in Lübeck, the Overbeck-Gesellschaft and St. Petri church, at the beginning of 2019, this is the first monographic catalogue of his art and not only documents these presentations but also offers a retrospective look at his work to date. von Zybok, Oliver
