"Moderne und die Räume der Weiblichkeit" was carefully revised and comprehensively annotated by Griselda Pollock for this publication, and a new introduction was added, giving an insight into the genesis of the essay and its historical context within the academic milieu. The text is additionally augmented by illustrations that were not published in the English original, visually expanding the author's argument and making it comprehensible on a broader scale.
