Beschreibung
People present themselves in poses which might make them seem very feminine, threatening, vulnerable, seductive or strong, respectively. If a pose is captured in a picture, it is transformed into an artefact. This book addresses the essence of the pose in different pictorial forms. In doing so, it presents an analogy-based visual evaluation of data empirically collected in the development and transformation process of that evaluation. With regard to the area of tension between the recording of eye movements of saccadic attraction and subjective attribution, it raises questions about the way in which postures are seen and received. This observation of the beholder's gaze opens up a multi-faceted approach to the effect of poses and results from an interplay between academic and artistic research. This book is written in German and English language. von Bredekamp, Horst
