This volume intends to offer guidelines for the utilisation of information and communication technology (ICT) in language study and teaching. First chapters demonstrate how this general revolution has led to the emergence of a new educational paradigm in the context of digitally enriched learning environments including its design and implementation for literary or cultural studies. The applications of ICT in language learning and the use of computers in SLA research are discussed in the next two chapters. The final chapter introduces and discusses the scope and concepts of computational linguistics and corpus linguistics and their applications in lexicography, translation and foreign language teaching.
