Beschreibung
This practically oriented book draws attention to the tremendous importance of self-management as a component of every AD(H)D treatment. There is a great deal that people affected by AD(H)D can do to foster the special abilities they have, rather than simply putting up with AD(H)D as a disease. This book presents useful strategies that have been successfully tested in practice on ways in which young people and adults who are affected can help themselves, and how parents can help their children to improve their capabilities and social behaviour. Why, how and what can and should you do to be successful even with AD(H)D? The information needed to answer these questions can help those affected to achieve more independence. The therapeutic strategies described can be applied immediately, so that valuable time is not wasted. The book also provides the fundamentals needed for successful coaching. von Simchen, Helga
