Dr. Rainer Hatoum is an anthropologist at the Ethnological Museum and the Free University in Berlin. His current research project focuses on the question of the future dealing with the concept of the “cultural Other” in educational institutions – particularly museums. Dr. Susan Kamel is a museologist and scholar of Arabic studies. She is currently project director of the project “The Museological Laboratory. On Curating Islamic Art and Cultural Histories” at the Technische Universität Berlin.
