In 2021, the Lyonel Feininger Gallery in Quedlinburg, the world's only museum dedicated to the work of the famous Bauhaus master, cele¬brates the artist's 150th birthday. The special exhibition Becoming Feininger: Lyonel Feininger on His 150th Birthday offers an overview of the artist's entire oeuvre along a chronological path. For the first time, three important Feininger collections will be presented together: the Dr Hermann Klumpp Collection in the ¬Lyonel Feininger Gallery in Quedlinburg, works from the Feininger Collection of the Kunst¬museum Moritzburg Halle (Saale), and works from the Lyonel Feininger Collection Armin Rühl Foundation, which was established in 2019. The catalogue brings together essays that introduce the three collections as well as a contribution on the Feininger family of artists.
