This indispensable double DVD and book set is a superb career retrospective of a legendary band. With spellbinding performance footage of The Doors in action in Europe and America as its backdrop, the programme takes us on an incredible journey from Venice Beach in California to Morrison's mysterious death in a Paris hotel 1971. A team of music critics are on hand to explain the magic of The Doors and to analyse their contribution to rock history; including Kris Needs, the former editor of Zig Zag magazine and Ian Penman, the man dubbed "the coolest cultural critic on the planet".This film provides in-depth reviews of all the key tracks from the great albums, including "Morrison Hotel", "The Soft Parade" and "L.A. Woman". It pulls no punches as it tells the story of the group, recounting the highs and lows, the triumphs and the controversies. Authorative and thorough, it is an essential purchase for serious lovers of great rock music.Bonusmaterial:48-seitiges, in die Hülle integriertes Buch;
