Weed control is an essential part of all crop production systems. Critical period of crop-weed competition in clusterbean is about 20 to 30 DAS, during this period, weeds reduce yield by competing with crops for water, nutrients, and sunlight. Season long competition with weeds in clusterbean causes severe yield reduction ranging from 29-48 per cent and severity may even be higher (70-98%) depending on the weed infestation.
