The topic of "Values and Assets in Management" , the title of the 2nd Ludwigsburg Symposium on Educational Management in May 2009, displays an area of conflict between educational claims and the necessities of an effective management. Gerd Schweizer is Professor of Economics and the Teaching of Economics at the Ludwigsburg College of Education and head of the Institute for Educational Management as well as chairman of the "Deutschen Gesellschaft für Bildungsmanagement" Ulrich Müller is Professor of Educational Management at the Ludwigsburg College of Education and deputy institute director. Thomas Adam is Assistant Professor at the Institute for Educational Management of Ludwigsburg College of Education.
