Beschreibung
Lady Parsons, a beautiful and gifted singer-songwriter, had a meteoric rise to fame. However, the applause and approval came with a price. In a Los Angeles recording studio, she tells her production team the story behind the "veil of emotion" concerning a particular song. Lady shared her boyfriend's dream of opening a Bible-based home for disadvantaged children. She said she would marry Jesse one day, and he promised to build her a mansion. But Lady left her loving family and their cattle ranch in Texas-and her beloved Jesse-for a career as a musician. "I have this idea that I can make a difference and change lives by and through what gifts God has given me," she tells her momma. But Lady found that worldly success often demands compromise; she was lonely, empty, and losing her way. Just as she decided to put her life back in order, a heartbreaking incident changed her life and the lives of those around her. The past and the present come together as she journeys back home on a road that is far from what she had imagined. Lady's faith is gradually reaffirmed, and she discovers that God plans for her to serve Him-in the mansion Jesse had built for her. At her reunion concert, she tells the audience, "I believe that we live two lives while here on earth; the one we experience and learn with-and the second, what we do with that knowledge once it is acquired." Lady has accepted this knowledge and will pay forward in faith and love. von Bachman, Larry B.
